The 23rd Dhaka International Yarn and Fabric Show 2025 – Winter Edition, jointly organized by Conference and Exhibition Management Services (CEMS-Global USA) and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Tex China), is being held for four days from January 15-18. The 7th Dhaka International Denim Show 2025 is being held concurrently.
During the exhibition, a seminar titled ‘From Fabrics to Fashion: The Competitive Edge of Global Supply Chain Management’ was held on January 16 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, co-organized by Nexus Television.
The seminar was moderated by Jabed Ahmed, Chief Consultant, SEMS-Global and former Additional Secretary to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Other speakers at the seminar included Professor Engr. A N M Ahmed Ullah (PhD), Department of Textile Engineering, Southeast University; Md. Mahmudur Rahman Milon, Co-Chairman, FBCCI Standing Committee on Press and Media; Mashraqa Binte Mosharraf, Proprietor, Creative Connections; Sohali Sazia Mithila, Founder and CEO, Bidora Bags and Handicrafts. Over a hundred participants from different sectors participated in the seminar.

The speakers discussed how raw materials are procured in different countries and how this process is affected by the global political and economic situation. The panelists called for a shift towards environmentally friendly production. They also discussed the strategies that need to be adopted to maintain the quality of the supply chain.
