About 48 hours after the end of voting, the results of the Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union or JACSU election were announced on Saturday (September 13) afternoon.
Abdur Rashid Jitu of the Independent Students’ Union Panel was elected as the vice-president. And Mazharul Islam of the Unified Students’ Union won the post of general secretary.
The total number of voters in this year’s JACSU election was 11,919. After the voting, the Election Commission announced that 8,161 votes, or 67.9 percent, were cast.
