Chief Adviser congratulates Nepal’s new Prime Minister Sushila Karki

Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has congratulated Nepal’s new Prime Minister Sushila Karki.

In a message today (September 13, 2025), he said, “On behalf of the government and people of Bangladesh and on my own behalf, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on your appointment as the Prime Minister of Nepal.”

Professor Yunus noted that Bangladesh views Sushila Karki’s assumption of office seriously as a reflection of the trust and confidence of the people of Nepal.

He said, “As a long-standing friend and neighbor, we firmly believe that under your able leadership, Nepal and its determined people will move forward on the path of peace, development and stability.”

The Chief Adviser expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the recent political developments in Nepal.
