A resolution in the UN General Assembly supporting the establishment of a Palestinian state was voted in favor by 142 votes to 10. Twelve countries abstained.
A declaration calling for “concrete, time-bound and irreversible steps” to establish a Palestinian state alongside Israel has received overwhelming support at the UN General Assembly.
It also condemned Israeli attacks on civilians and civilian facilities in Gaza, the blockade of the territory and the starvation of its people.
