A special meeting on law and order was held at the Police Lines Multipurpose Drillshed in Boyra, the city on Monday (15 December 2025) at 11:15 am. The meeting was presided over by KMP’s new Police Commissioner, Mr. Mohammad Zahidul Hasan, BPM-Service.
The meeting started in the morning with recitation from the Holy Quran. At the beginning of the meeting, the Police Commissioner patiently listened to the statements of all the officers and forces of all ranks working in various units about the challenges they are facing in maintaining law and order.
The Police Commissioner addressed the Deputy Police Commissioners, Additional Deputy Police Commissioners, Assistant Police Commissioners and Officers-in-Charge present at the special meeting on law and order that KMP is a family with all the police members of Khulna metropolis. Its main goal will be to further strengthen mutual ties and ensure the overall security of the metropolis, maintain normal and upheld law and order, suppress crime and build a safe and livable city through people-friendly policing. In order to get the overall cooperation of the respected civil society, public representatives, media workers, various departments of the administration and people of all classes and professions of Khulna metropolis in fulfilling this important responsibility, he instructed all field-level officers and police members to play a leading role in building a bridge between the police and the public. He also encouraged everyone to play a courageous role in any kind of obstacle in working at the field level and assured that he, as the head of the KMP family, will be by everyone’s side in this regard.
At that time, KMP’s Additional Police Commissioner (Admin and Finance) Mr. Abu Raihan Muhammad Saleh, who has currently been promoted to the rank of DIG; Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Ops) Mr. Mohammad Rashidul Islam Khan BPM-Service, PPM (Bar); Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic and Protocol) Mr. Muhammad Shahnewaz Khaled, Deputy Police Commissioners including PPM-Services, Additional Deputy Police Commissioners, Assistant Police Commissioners and police members of all ranks were present.
