Bangladesh beat Pakistan by 8 wickets in the first ODI

Sports Desk:

Bangladesh won the ODIs after returning. After bowling out Pakistan for the lowest score in their history, the Tiger batters also went on a rampage in the batting.

Pakistan lost the toss and elected to bat first and scored 114 runs in 30.4 overs, losing all their wickets. This is Pakistan’s lowest score in an ODI against Bangladesh. Fahim Ashraf scored the highest score of 37 runs for the team. Nahid took 5 wickets for 24 runs for Bangladesh. In reply, Bangladesh reached the victory port after losing two wickets in 15.1 overs.

Chasing a small target, Bangladesh lost Saif Hasan early. When this opener returned for 4 runs, Bangladesh’s opening partnership was broken for 27 runs. Although Saif failed, Tanjid Hasan Tamim created a storm at the other end.

Tamim, who batted aggressively from the start, scored 81 runs in the play available. Tamim made his fifty in just 32 balls. He was unbeaten on 67 runs at the end.

With this win, Bangladesh took a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. The next match in the series will be played on Friday.
