Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan gets a seat in the front row of the National Parliament

Member of Parliament from Barisal-1 (Gouranadi-Agailjhara) constituency and Information and Broadcasting Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Zahir Uddin Swapan, has got a seat in the front row of the National Parliament.

In the National Parliament, the first row seats are usually reserved for the leader of the parliament, the leader of the opposition and senior members of parliament. In that regard, the concerned quarters believe that his getting a seat in the front row carries special importance in the political and parliamentary arena.

It is to be noted that Zahir Uddin Swapan is serving as the Information and Broadcasting Minister of the government led by Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

The first session of the new parliament, consisting of the members of parliament elected in the 13th National Parliament election held on February 12, has begun today. The activities of the 13th Parliament of the National Parliament have officially begun through this session.
