The Bangladesh-Netherlands Partnership Dialogue was held with an emphasis on people-to-people connections, mutual understanding, social responsibility and quality of life improvement beyond the boundaries of business relations.
The dialogue was held at the Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort in the capital on Wednesday (August 12, 2026) under the theme ‘Beyond Business: Building Connections, Creating Opportunities, Empowering People’. Representatives of the Netherlands and stakeholders from various sectors of Bangladesh participated in the event organized from 7 pm to 10 pm.
The organizers said that the main goal of the dialogue was to build a new type of partnership between Bangladesh and the Netherlands in addition to conventional business cooperation. In particular, the possibility of increasing direct contact between the people of the two countries, exchange of mutual experiences, cooperation in fulfilling social responsibilities and joint initiatives to improve the quality of life of people was discussed.
Representatives from HOPE XXL, Vice Versa and Friendship from the Netherlands participated in the dialogue. Representatives from these organizations highlighted various aspects of human empowerment, social development and international cooperation.
The event was organized by All Trading, a member of the Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DBCCI). The Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DBCCI) collaborated in this.
According to the organizers, in order to further expand and make the long-standing friendly relations between Bangladesh and the Netherlands more meaningful, it is necessary to give importance to the areas of social and humanitarian cooperation along with business. Such dialogues can play an important role in creating new connections between the institutions and people of the two countries and jointly create various opportunities in the future.
The main message of the dialogue was to further advance the partnership between Bangladesh and the Netherlands with the larger goal of ensuring people, social responsibility and a better quality of life, not limiting mutual cooperation to trade and investment.
