The Indian High Commission in Bangladesh celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with due dignity and enthusiasm in Dhaka. On August 15, 2025, the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Dinesh Trivedi, hoisted the national flag at a ceremony organized on the High Commission premises.
Members of the Indian community living in Dhaka participated in the ceremony. On the occasion of the day, they organized a colorful cultural program. It highlighted the significance of India’s Independence Day through patriotic songs, dances and various cultural performances.
The theme of this year’s Independence Day was ‘Suryapath Tiranga’. Various programs organized around the theme highlighted the history of India’s freedom struggle, national unity and the spirit of patriotism.
