Desk Report:

State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Aminul Haque inaugurated the “Artificial Intelligence-based Training and Youth Development Workshop-2026” at the Youth Development Academy in Savar on Wednesday (April 15, 2026). Youth and Sports Secretary Md. Mahbub-ul-Alam, Director General of the Department of Youth Development Dr. Gazi Md. Saifuzzaman and Principal of the Youth Development Academy Selim Khan were present at the event.

At the workshop, the State Minister said, “In the current world, we are moving through the fourth industrial revolution. Artificial intelligence or AI is now the main driving force of technological change. AI is creating new possibilities in every field – education, agriculture, health and industry.”

He said, “AI-based training will create opportunities for trainees to learn personally. At the same time, the quality of training will increase and skills will be linked to employment.”

He further said that AI-based training is already being successfully implemented in various countries of the world and we want Bangladesh to follow in that trend. Women and marginalized communities should also benefit from it and transparency and accountability should be ensured in the use of AI.

The State Minister said that those who will receive this training will spread this acquired knowledge among everyone at the grassroots level.
