Diplomatic Desk:
A bilateral meeting was held between Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Chinese Premier Li Qiang during the Prime Minister’s official visit to China. Following the meeting, several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between Bangladesh and China to strengthen cooperation in various sectors.

The meeting took place in a warm and cordial atmosphere at the historic Great Hall of the People in Beijing at 5:00 PM local time on Thursday (June 25).

Earlier, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived at the Great Hall of the People in a motorcade from the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, where he was warmly received. The two heads of government then held formal talks and discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest.

During the meeting, both sides discussed enhancing Bangladesh-China relations and expanding cooperation in trade, investment, infrastructure development, energy, education, and other key sectors. Several MoUs were signed in the presence of representatives from both countries following the talks.

The Bangladesh delegation included Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Zahir Uddin Swapan, State Minister for Power and Energy Anindya Islam Amit, Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir, Economic and Planning Adviser Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, and Education Adviser Mahdi Amin.
