Three-Day BARVIDA Car Expo to Begin at ICCB on November 5

Desk Report:

The three-day ‘BARVIDA Car Expo 2026’ is set to take place at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital, featuring a wide collection of popular reconditioned vehicles from Japan. Scheduled from November 5 to 7, the exhibition will allow buyers to explore various brands and models under one roof, compare prices and features, and make informed purchasing decisions.

The Bangladesh Reconditioned Vehicles Importers and Dealers Association (BARVIDA) announced these details during a press conference held on Saturday (October 31).

At the press conference, it was noted that the event aims to invigorate the nation’s automotive sector and enhance consumer awareness regarding the market for reconditioned vehicles. Specifically, the expo seeks to simplify the selection and purchasing process for prospective buyers by showcasing popular Japanese-imported vehicles in a single location.

The expo will feature a variety of popular Japanese reconditioned vehicle brands and models, including the Toyota Prius, Corolla Cross, Harrier, Noah, Voxy, and Alphard.

Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to view the vehicles firsthand and learn about the technology, specifications, features, and pricing of each model. With vehicles from various companies gathered in one place, buyers can easily compare options based on their personal budgets and preferences.

Beyond ensuring transparency and accessibility in vehicle transactions, the event also aims to facilitate direct interaction between buyers and sellers.

A special highlight of the BARVIDA Car Expo 2026 will be an exhibition dedicated to the 50-year history of Japanese vehicles in Bangladesh.

This segment will showcase the evolution and development of automotive technology, tracing the journey of Japanese cars on the country’s roads from their initial arrival to the present day. In addition, the exhibition will showcase images of popular Japanese cars from various eras, historical models, and the evolution of their technology.

The exhibition will also highlight the long-standing contribution of Japanese vehicles to Bangladesh’s transport sector—tracing the journey from classic models, synonymous with reliability and prestige, to modern, high-tech, and hybrid vehicles.

According to the organizers, Japanese vehicles have played a significant role in Bangladesh’s transport sector, while also contributing to employment, investment, commerce, and government revenue.

BARVIDA emphasizes that the automobile sector extends beyond the mere import and sale of vehicles; it is intrinsically linked to job creation, entrepreneurship, investment, technological advancement, and international trade relations.

Against this backdrop, the organization aims to use this expo to boost the popularity and dynamism of the country’s reconditioned car market, facilitate direct interaction between buyers and sellers, and provide the public with an opportunity to learn about various vehicle models.

Furthermore, the event seeks to raise public awareness regarding the quality, reliability, and advanced technology of Japanese cars, while highlighting their five-decade-long contribution to Bangladesh and their overall impact on the national economy and government revenue.

The organizing body has invited a wide range of attendees—including car enthusiasts, prospective buyers, business professionals, families, and members of the media—to visit the BARVIDA Car Expo 2026.

BARVIDA expects the exhibition to serve as an excellent platform for those planning to purchase a vehicle, those wishing to compare the features and prices of different models, or those simply interested in learning about modern hybrid technology and the history of Japanese cars in Bangladesh.

Scheduled to take place from November 5 to 7 at the ICCB, the event will allow visitors to explore a variety of reconditioned car models in one location and select a vehicle that best suits their personal preferences and budget.
