Paving the Path to Brunei: EXPOPRO Leads Bangladesh Delegation Preparations

In a significant step toward fostering closer economic ties between Bangladesh and Brunei, Md Mamunur Rahman, Founder and CEO of EXPOPRO, held a fruitful meeting with Mr. Rozaimee Abdullah, First Secretary of the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam to Bangladesh.

The meeting at the High Commission office in Dhaka focused on finalizing plans for a business delegation to Brunei Darussalam, scheduled for late January 2025. Among others, Growing Together OPC Executive Chairman M. Anowar Hossain, Universal LP Gas Managing Director & CEO Shahjahan Shaju, Universal LP Gas Director Md. Sadman Shafin was present at the meeting. Building on earlier discussions, the meeting delved deeper into the logistical and strategic elements of the upcoming delegation. Topics included potential areas of collaboration, such as halal industries, technology, and SME development, aligning with shared national priorities for sustainable growth and innovation.

Md Mamunur Rahman expressed his enthusiasm for the progress made, stating: “Our meeting with Mr. Rozaimee Abdullah further reinforces the shared commitment between Bangladesh and Brunei to create new business opportunities. This delegation will not only serve as a platform for fostering trade but also for exchanging ideas and building lasting partnerships.” Mr. Rozaimee Abdullah echoed the sentiment, highlighting Brunei’s service as a platform for fostering trade, exchanging ideas, and being ready to welcome Bangladeshi businesses and strengthen bilateral ties.

He underscored the alignment of the initiative with Brunei’s Vision 2035, which emphasizes economic diversification and international collaboration.

The delegation is expected to comprise prominent business leaders and industry experts from Bangladesh, representing key sectors poised for growth in Brunei’s dynamic market. Key activities will include B2B meetings, site visits, and networking sessions aimed at facilitating meaningful connections between the two countries. This initiative reflects EXPOPRO’s ongoing commitment to empowering businesses by opening international expansion and cooperation pathways. It marks another milestone in the organization’s mission to create impactful cross-border collaborations.
