Brazil draws with Morocco in first World Cup match with Vinicius’ goal

Despite falling behind, five-time world champions Brazil made a great comeback with Vinicius Junior’s goal. The Seleção drew 1-1 with Morocco in their first match at the World Cup.

Morocco took the lead early in this important match of Group ‘C’ on Sunday (June 14, 2026). Ismael Saibari scored in the 21st minute. Brazil was under pressure with his goal.

However, Brazil did not have to wait long. Vinicius Junior equalized for the team in the 32nd minute. His great finish brought the five-time world champions back into the match.

Both teams attacked and counter-attacked for the rest of the time, but there were no more goals. In the end, the match ended 1-1, and both teams left the field with a point each.
