Sri Lankan Prime Minister expresses hope for further strengthening of Bangladesh-Sri Lanka diplomatic relations

Bangladesh High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Andalib Elias paid a farewell courtesy call on the country’s Honorable Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuraiya.

During the meeting, the Sri Lankan Prime Minister appreciated the dedicated efforts of High Commissioner Andalib Elias during his tenure. He said that the High Commissioner has played an important role in further strengthening the long-standing friendly bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

The Prime Minister further mentioned that various initiatives taken to expand trade and economic cooperation between the two countries have achieved positive progress. He expressed the hope that the initiatives taken during the High Commissioner’s tenure will continue in the future and Bangladesh-Sri Lanka economic relations will deepen further.
