Australia supports Bangladesh’s commitment to free, fair and democratic elections.

The Australian High Commissioner welcomed the opportunity to hear about preparations from Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin on Thursday (24 April, 2025).

She was also pleased to hear of the recent success of the Bangladesh Election Commission’s technical delegation visit to Australia.

Australia’s own federal elections will be held on 3 May 2025. The Australian High Commission is open during business hours for in-person voting for Australian citizens.
