The NBR Sanskar Oikya Parishad has rejected tomorrow’s discussion with the Finance Advisor. At the same time, a complete shutdown has been announced on June 28 to fulfill its demands, along with a March to NBR program.
This announcement was made at a press conference at the NBR head office in Agargaon in the capital today, Wednesday (June 25).
NBR Oikya Parishad President Additional Commissioner Hasan Muhammad Tarek Rikabder and Additional Tax Commissioner Monalisa Shahreen Sushmita along with other leaders were present at the press conference.
It was said at the press conference that the Finance Advisor has called on representatives of the BCS (Tax) and CCS (Customs and Excise) cadres to discuss with him tomorrow (June 26) at 5 pm. We have always been in favor of discussion. And because we were in favor of discussion, we participated in the discussion with the Advisor on May 20. A total of 26 people, including 13 representatives of the Sanskar Oikya Parishad, were present at the meeting. Two representatives of the NBR Reform Unity Council were given a total of 10 minutes.
The Finance Advisor told the journalists present that the discussion was fruitful even though it was not fruitful. That is, our experience of the discussion was not pleasant. On the other hand, he did not invite the representatives of the NBR Reform Unity Council for tomorrow’s discussion, so since no representative from the NBR Unity Council, which is organizing the program, has the opportunity to participate in the discussion, they will not participate in this discussion.
