16th Intex Bangladesh Exhibition Begins in Dhaka

The three-day 16th Intex Bangladesh Exhibition has begun at the capital’s International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB). Many domestic and foreign organizations are participating in this event, known as the International Textile Sourcing Fair.

Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Mr. Mahbubur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the opening ceremony. Senior Vice President of Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) Mr. Amal Poddar was present as the special guest. He declared the formal inauguration of the event by cutting the ribbon and participated in the VIP tour.

In his opening speech, Amal Poddar expressed his gratitude to Intex Bangladesh and said, “By organizing such an international exhibition, garment entrepreneurs of Bangladesh get the opportunity to learn about the global sourcing hub. BKMEA has always supported this event and this partnership will further strengthen the global relationship with the RMG industry of Bangladesh in the future.”

Mr. Anwar Hossain, Vice Chairman and CEO of Export Promotion Bureau, was present as the guest of honor.

Also present at the event were Aarti Bhagat, Executive Director of Intex Show and WorldX India, Murali Balkrishna, Joint Director of Texprosil, A.K.M. Saifur Rahman, Vice President of BIGGA, and Faisal Samad, Director of BGMEA. All of them, in their speeches, highly praised the Intex exhibition and highlighted the importance of such events in the development of the RMG industry of Bangladesh.

This international exhibition will continue till June 27.
