On the occasion of the great Victory Day-2025, deep tributes were paid to the nation’s best sons at the Smriti Shaheed Minar adjacent to Golam Nabi Model Pilot High School in Kaliakoir Upazila of Gazipur on Tuesday morning (December 16). The program was organized by Kaliakoir Upazila Administration and the Kaliakoir Municipality Administration provided overall support. Kaliakoir Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) AHM Fakhrul Hossain paid tribute.
Freedom Fighters’ Sangsad Command, Kaliakoir; Upazila Administration and Upazila Parishad, Gazipur; Upazila Officers Club, Kaliakoir and various government and private organizations placed wreaths in memory of the martyrs. Later, a parade and display program was held with the participation of students from various schools and colleges in Kaliakoir Upazila. Kaliakair Police Station and Ansar Bahini participated in the parade and presented a beautiful display.
Kaliakair Police Station, officials and employees of various departments of the upazila administration, Ansar Bahini, journalists and representatives of print and electronic media were present at the time. In addition, journalists from Kaliakair Press Club, Upazila Press Club, Bangladesh Press Club and Kaliakair Model Press Club, along with dignitaries from various classes and professions, were present.
