UN Under-Secretary-General (USG) for Peace Operations paid a courtesy call on Principal Staff Officer (PSO), Armed Forces Division (AFD)

Mr. Jean-Pierre Lacroix, the UN Under-Secretary-General (USG) for Peace Operations, paid a courtesy ‘Call On’ with the Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of Bangladesh Armed Forces Division (AFD) Lieutenant General S M Kamrul Hassan on 21 April 2025 at Dhaka Cantonment.

During the meeting, discussions focused on various aspects of UN peacekeeping operations, including training initiatives, deployment, and capacity-building measures. The UN USG for Peace Operations expressed his appreciation to the Bangladesh Armed Forces for their professionalism, dedication, and invaluable contributions to the UN peacekeeping missions worldwide.

Moreover, PSO, AFD assured the UN USG for Peace Operations of continued collaboration and enhanced cooperation in the furtherance of global peace and security.
