UAE keen to build strong relation with Bangladesh

Online Desk:

UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdulla Ali Al Hmoudi said his country is keen to share its expertise with Bangladesh in civil aviation, ports and logistics and build a defense partnership.

He also reaffirmed his country’s commitment to strengthen mutual economic and business ties with Bangladesh.

Al Hmoudi said this during a reception hosted by the UAE Embassy in Dhaka recently to celebrate the country’s 53rd Union Day, a press release issued by the UAE embassy said here on Monday 2 December, 2024).

“We remain focused on direct investment to bolster economic and business cooperation,” the UAE Ambassador said.

The envoy also reaffirmed his government’s unwavering commitment to working together with the interim government for a better and more prosperous Bangladesh.

It’s noted that the UAE and Bangladesh are celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations this year, marking a significant milestone in their shared history.

“We are looking forward to a strategic partnership between our brotherly nations,” said the envoy.

The Ambassador praised the contributions of the 1.2 million Bangladeshi expatriates residing in the UAE saying they are making significant contributions to both the UAE and Bangladesh economies.

Civil Aviation and Tourism Adviser AF Hassan Ariff attended the event as the chief guest. Advisers of the government, ambassadors, diplomatic mission heads, senior government officials, business leaders, and representatives from media and civil society members joined the reception.
