Abdulla Ali AlHmoudi, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The meeting took place at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday (September 28, 2026).
Discussions during the meeting focused on various prospects for expanding trade and investment between Bangladesh and the UAE. Emphasis was also placed on further increasing employment opportunities for skilled Bangladeshi manpower in the UAE.
Additionally, discussions were held on strengthening mutual cooperation between the two nations across key sectors, including energy, infrastructure, aviation, information technology, railways, and logistics.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir, Chairman of the Investment Development Authority of Bangladesh Ashik Chowdhury, and senior officials from the UAE Embassy in Dhaka were present at the meeting.
