The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has said that Meghalaya Police has arrested two Indian nationals on charges of helping Faisal Karim Masud, the main accused in the murder of Inqilab Manch spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi, and his associate Alamgir Sheikh, escape to India. They are Purti and Sami.
Additional Commissioner SN Nazrul Islam gave this information at a press conference organized at the DMP’s Media Center today (December 28).
He said that Hadi’s murder was pre-planned. After the incident, Faisal and Alamgir Sheikh went to Aminbazar from Dhaka by CNG. From there, they went to Kalampur by car. From Kalampur, they went to the Mymensingh border in another car. There, Faisal and Alamgir were received by Philip Snal and Sanjay. They illegally crossed the border. Philip later took the two to the Indian state of Meghalaya.
