Three Chiefs of Bangladesh Armed Forces paid a courtesy call on President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman, Navy Chief Admiral Khondaker Misbah-ul-Azeem and Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan paid a courtesy call on the President at Bangabhaban on Tuesday (August 25, 2026) noon.
During the meeting, the three Chiefs of the Armed Forces congratulated Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on assuming office as President.
At the same time, they informed the President about the various activities of their respective forces. At the same time, they sought the President’s guidance and cooperation as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces in discharging their duties.
President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed satisfaction with the various activities of the Armed Forces. He said the current government is working to develop the armed forces as a modern and four-dimensional force.
The President assured of continuing maximum cooperation in the overall development of the force along with enhancing the professional skills of the members of the armed forces during his tenure.
