Online Desk:

The Chief Advisor’s Press Wing held a press briefing on Monday (February 9) after a special meeting of the Advisory Council ahead of the 13th National Parliament elections. At the briefing held at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital, Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam commented that today’s briefing is probably the last briefing of the Press Wing.

At the briefing, Shafiqul Alam said that in the last 18 months, the Chief Advisor’s Press Wing has always tried to provide information to the media as quickly as possible. Journalists have been informed about the government’s position on every important incident.

He said that all kinds of government information is regularly published through the Chief Advisor’s Facebook page. In this regard, he said, “There is no information on the Chief Advisor’s Facebook page that we have not shared with the media. In total, the page has been viewed at least 200 million times.”

Regarding the questions of journalists at the press briefing, Shafiqul Alam said that the press wing has always tried to answer most of the questions. He also mentioned that all the questions of journalists have been accepted in the press conferences held at different times.

At this time, another member of the press wing, Azad Majumder, said that maximum efforts have been made to cooperate with the media and cooperation has also been received from journalists. He expressed hope and said, “Next week, we will be with you, not across the table.”

Press wing member Faiz Ahmed said that he has always tried to work closely with journalists. Stating that the duties have been carried out with complete professionalism, he said that the press wing has had to go through additional challenging situations for various reasons. At this time, he said, “We sincerely apologize if you have been hurt by any of our behavior.”
