The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) is today, Wednesday (August 26, 2026). This day, which commemorates the birth and death of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), is very significant and sacred for the Muslim community around the world.
According to the Islamic calendar, the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) was born in Mecca on the 12th of the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal in the year 570 AD. He passed away on the same date at the age of 63. His entire life was a unique example of guiding humanity on the path of truth, justice, peace, compassion and goodness.
At the time of the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the Arab society was immersed in the darkness of ignorance during the days of ignorance. He preached the message of truthfulness, justice, humanity and peace among the people. At a young age, he earned the reputation of being ‘Al-Amin’ for his honesty and trustworthiness.
He received the prophethood at the age of 40 and preached the great message of Islam for a long 23 years. His teachings were not limited to religious and spiritual life; rather, he also showed the way to establish a society based on human values, social justice, peace, equality and welfare. In Medina, he set a unique example of establishing a just and welfare-oriented social system.
