Diplomatic Desk:
In order to further strengthen development cooperation between Bangladesh and Turkey, Additional Secretary and Wing Chief of the Economic Relations Division (ERD) Dr. Mohammad Mizanur Rahman and his delegation held consultations and exchange of views with representatives of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).
The meeting discussed TİKA’s priorities and planned activities in Bangladesh in the future. In addition, opportunities to undertake specific and practical development projects through coordination with relevant ministries and institutions were also discussed.
The discussions focused on strengthening institutional cooperation, identifying priority sectors in light of Bangladesh’s development needs, and maintaining close coordination in the preparation and implementation of future initiatives.
In addition, views were exchanged on various opportunities to further deepen Bangladesh-Turkey development cooperation through mutual exchange of experience and knowledge at the institutional level and high-level engagement in the future.
TİKA said it will continue to work closely with ERD and relevant Bangladeshi institutions to formulate and implement sustainable projects that are in line with Bangladesh’s development priorities and needs.
The meeting is expected to play an important role in opening up new areas of development cooperation between Bangladesh and Turkey and making the ongoing cooperation more effective and fruitful.
