During the meeting, he expressed his interest in working closely with the new government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. He said that the Indian government is ready to further advance the multidimensional relations between Bangladesh and India.

Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman expressed his determination to build a visionary and balanced partnership based on mutual respect and interests for the benefit of the people of the two countries. Both sides agreed to continue regular and constructive dialogue.

At the same time, Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar invited Dr. Khalilur Rahman to visit New Delhi soon.
