Desk Report:
The monthly coordination meeting for the month of February was held under the chairmanship of Rear Admiral Arif Ahmed Mustafa, Chairman of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), with all the department heads of the authority and the control officers of all ports. On the same day, a special meeting was also held to determine the work to be done by the authority in the upcoming 180-day work plan of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

These two meetings were held on Monday (February 23, 2026) in the conference room on the 6th floor of the authority’s head office. Both meetings were presided over by Chairman Rear Admiral Arif Ahmed Mustafa.
The meeting was attended by the members (Finance, Engineering and Transport), all department heads, control officers of all ports, executive engineers, CPS and senior officials.

The meeting emphasized on the smooth execution of official activities, strengthening inter-departmental coordination and bringing positive dynamics to field level activities. In addition, a detailed discussion was held on determining BIWTA’s priority-based action plan to implement the 180-day action plan announced by the government.
