Algeria–Bangladesh Relations to Grow Stronger for Mutual Benefit: Algerian Ambassador

The Embassy of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria in Dhaka, jointly with the Bangladesh–Algeria Business Forum, hosted a cordial Iftar gathering bringing together distinguished guests from different sectors of Bangladesh. The event reflected the growing friendship and cooperation between Algeria and Bangladesh.

The Iftar was jointly organized by the Embassy of Algeria in Bangladesh and the Bangladesh–Algeria Business Forum. The gathering was attended by Members of Parliament, political leaders, prominent business leaders, representatives of civil society, and editors and journalists from leading newspapers and media houses.

In his address, Abdelouahab Saidani, Ambassador of Algeria to Bangladesh, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and expressed his appreciation to the Bangladesh–Algeria Business Forum for organizing the event in collaboration with the Embassy.

The Ambassador highlighted the importance of the brotherly relations between Algeria and Bangladesh, based on shared values, mutual respect, and a common vision for development. He noted that since the opening of the Algerian Embassy in Dhaka in 2020, both countries have made significant progress in strengthening bilateral cooperation.

He also mentioned that a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding have been prepared in important sectors including science and technology, energy, agriculture, and education. The Ambassador expressed optimism that the newly elected Government of Bangladesh would create new opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between the two friendly countries.

The Ambassador emphasized that the spirit of Ramadan promotes peace, solidarity, and mutual understanding and expressed hope that Algeria–Bangladesh relations would continue to grow for the benefit of both nations.

The President of the Bangladesh–Algeria Business Forum, Mr. Mohd Nurul Mostafa, in his remarks highlighted the activities and achievements of the Forum since its establishment. He emphasized the Forum’s role in strengthening economic cooperation and promoting trade and investment opportunities between Algeria and Bangladesh.

The event concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere, reflecting the strong and growing partnership between Algeria and Bangladesh and the shared commitment to expanding cooperation in the years ahead.
