Speaker of the National Assembly, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram, MP, congratulated Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman on being elected as the President of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

The release said that in the election held at the UN Headquarters in New York, Bangladesh’s candidate, Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman, was elected as the President of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly by defeating his rival candidate from Cyprus.
Describing Bangladesh’s victory in this important international post as a glorious achievement for the country, Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram extended his heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Khalilur Rahman.
