Pubali Bank PLC receives ‘Gold Award for Branding’ in recognition of its special contribution to remittance collection

The Center for Non-Resident Bangladeshis (NRB) has awarded Pubali Bank PLC the ‘Gold Award for Branding’ in recognition of its special contribution to remittance collection.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan, MP, presented the award to Pubali Bank’s Managing Director and CEO Mohammad Ali as the chief guest at a program titled ‘Branding Bangladesh’ organized at a hotel in the capital.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaid Islam, MP, and State Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Md. Nurul Haque, MP, were present as special guests at the program.

Besides, the Chairman of the Foundation for Strategic and Development Studies, Major General (Retd.) Fazle Elahi Akbar and the Chairman of the Award Committee, Ishtiaq Ahmed Chowdhury were present at the event.

The event was presided over by the Chairperson of the Center for NRB, Ms. Sheikhil Chowdhury.

The speakers at the event said that remittances play an important role in the country’s economy and the contribution of Pubali Bank PLC in this regard is highly commendable. It was hoped that the bank’s activities will be further strengthened in the future to increase the flow of expatriate income and earn foreign exchange.
