Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has arrived in Malaysia for the first time on an official visit at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. His wife Dr. Zubaida Rahman is accompanying him on this two-day visit.
The Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the Prime Minister landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Malaysia at 8:35 pm local time on Sunday (June 21, 2026).
Malaysian Minister of Religious Affairs Dr. Zulkifli Hassan welcomed Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the airport. Later, he was given a formal ‘guard of honor’ by the Malaysian government as per state protocol.
Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury and senior officials of the Bangladesh High Commission were present at the time.
