PBI officers and employees felicitated and awarded merit scholarships

The Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) officers and employees felicitated and awarded merit scholarships to the meritorious children. The program was organized at 10 am on Monday (January 05, 2026) at the conference room of the PBI Headquarters.

PBI Chief Additional IGP Mr. Md. Mustafa Kamal, who was present as the chief guest, felicitated and awarded merit scholarships to the meritorious students. A total of 51 meritorious students from among the children of PBI officers and employees who secured GPA-5 in the SSC and HSC-2025 examinations were awarded crests, certificates and prize bonds.

Speaking at the program, PBI Chief Additional IGP Md. Mustafa Kamal sincerely congratulated the meritorious students. He highly appreciated the contribution of the guardians of the students, especially the “mothers”. He said, “Success is a lifelong process. You have to continue this success trend in the future as well.”

At the same time, he urged the students to develop themselves as good human beings, not just limited to academic results, and gave guidance to the students on fulfilling their responsibilities towards the country, nation, and parents.

He further mentioned that since assuming office, he has been continuing the program of providing merit scholarships to the meritorious children of PBI officers and employees every year and expressed hope that this initiative will continue in the future as well.

DIG Paschimchanchal Mr. Md. Sujayet Islam, who was present as a special guest at the event, congratulated the meritorious students and wished them success in their future educational life. He said, no matter where they are or what profession they are involved in, everyone should first develop themselves as good human beings.

Speaking on behalf of the students, Md. Mahbub Mannan Munim (SSC-2025), son of Police Inspector Md. Abdul Mannan working in PBI Khulna district, Nur-e Jannat Nizum (SSC-2025), daughter of SI Md. Harun-ur-Rashid working in PBI Headquarters, and Farhan Shahriar Fardin (HSC-2025), son of Police Inspector Md. Alamgir Hossain working in PBI Dhaka district, expressed their gratitude to the authorities for this great initiative of PBI.
