Parachuting with the most flags on Victory Day, Bangladesh enters Guinness World Records

Bangladesh has entered the Guinness World Records by setting a world record for parachuting with the most flags on the Great Victory Day.

The World Records Management Team officially informed ‘Team Bangladesh’ about this on Tuesday (January 13, 2026).

According to the description on the Guinness World Records website, Team Bangladesh has set a new world record by raising the most 54 national flags simultaneously while skydiving (parachute jump). This record was successfully achieved in Dhaka on December 16, 2025.

Skydivers of ‘Team Bangladesh’ from different parts of the country came together to set an example of national unity and cooperation through this historic achievement. They set this record on the 54th Victory Day of Bangladesh.

Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud Bin Harun, Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), officially expressed his excitement at being named in the Guinness World Records.

He said, ‘Today is a proud day for everyone in this country. We want to share this joy with all the people of the country.’

On the Great Victory Day, the most flag-carrying parachuting participants were Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud Bin Harun, Mohammad Asaduzzaman, Khandaker Jahangir Alam, Md. Nannu Mia, Md. Mahmudul Islam, Mohammad Shihab Sheikh, Md. Arifur Rahman, Farhad Ahmed, Md. Nazrul Islam, Md. Kamrul Hasan, Md. Shafiqul Islam, Md. Ashiqul Islam, Md. Sirajul Haque, Mohammad Alamgir Kabir, Md. Ramzan Ali, Md. Monowar Hossain, Md. Sharif Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed, Md. Mahmudul Hasan, Rakibul Islam, Md. Abu Sayem, Md. Abu Hasan Chowdhury, Omar Faruk, Monirul Islam, Sourav Akand Russell, Md. Moniruzzaman, S. M. Rajibul Islam, Md. Nurul Hasib, Md. Sajjadul Islam, Abdul Alim, Arafat Rahman, Md. Humayun Kabir, Md. Rubel Haque, Md. Salim Ali, Md. Mohsin, Md. Bin Ibnul Islam, S. M.
