Pakistan High Commissioner meets Foreign Secretary to strengthen Pakistan-Bangladesh trade and economic cooperation

Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Mr. Imran Haider paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Foreign Secretary H.E. Mr. Asad Alam Siam at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday (October 6).

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on trade and economic cooperation, enhancing connectivity, cooperation in regional and multilateral forums and other matters of mutual interest. Various proposals for cooperation between the two countries were highlighted in the discussions, which were said to be finalized in the upcoming Joint Economic Commission meeting.

The Pakistani High Commissioner expressed gratitude to the Foreign Secretary for the excellent arrangements and hospitality extended to Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar during his recent visit to Bangladesh.
