Pakistan High Commissioner emphasizes on increasing trade and people-to-people contacts with Bangladesh

Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider paid a courtesy call on Foreign Affairs Advisor Md. Towhid Hossain on Thursday (October 23).

During the meeting, Foreign Affairs Advisor Md. Towhid Hossain welcomed the High Commissioner and said that friendly relations exist between Bangladesh and Pakistan. He mentioned that various positive initiatives including high-level visits and institutional meetings in the recent past have given new momentum to the relations between the two countries, which need to be continued in the future as well.

Pakistan High Commissioner Imran Haider highlighted the positive progress in bilateral relations during the meeting. He said that trade, people-to-people contacts and cultural exchanges between the two countries have increased significantly.

Both sides agreed to further strengthen the existing cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
