Newly appointed Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Police Commissioner Md. Israil Hawlader holds introductory meeting with officers working in GMP. The meeting was held on Thursday (November 20, 2025) at the conference room of GMP headquarters.
In the meeting, the new Police Commissioner got acquainted with the in-charges of various units and was informed about their ongoing activities, responsibilities and contemporary challenges.
In his speech, Police Commissioner Md. Israil Hawlader said, “Everyone has to work together to maintain the law and order situation in the city, ensure public safety, prevent fire and terrorism and maintain road safety. The desired services have to be ensured by providing security to the lives and property of the people. In this regard, it is very important to maintain maximum patience, caution and professionalism.”
Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations) Mr. Mohammad Taherul Haque Chauhan, Deputy Police Commissioners and senior officials of GMP were also present in the meeting.
