The newly appointed French ambassador, Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet, presented his credentials to His Excellency the President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Md. Shahabuddin, on Wednesday. He assumed office as the 18th Ambassador of France to Bangladesh.

During the presentation of his credentials, the President and the ambassador held warm and cordial discussions. Both highlighted the importance of the long-standing historical friendly relations between the two countries and pledged to further expand bilateral cooperation in the future. The discussions focused on safeguarding democracy, strengthening multilateral cooperation, and joint initiatives to combat the adverse effects of climate change.
