Nepal Embassy in Dhaka organized an event titled ‘Nepal-Bangladesh Cooperation: Trends in Trade, Tourism and Communication’ in Khulna.

The Nepal Embassy to Bangladesh organized a programme on “Nepal-Bangladesh Cooperation: Dynamics of Trade, Tourism, and Connectivity” on Friday (9 May, 2025) evening in Khulna.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh Mr. Ghanshyam Bhandari shed light on the growing momentum of economic cooperation between Nepal and Bangladesh, owing largely to the recently realized energy trade and the increasing tourism linkages.

As he acknowledged the vital role of the business communities, the Ambassador urged the participants to build partnerships with their Nepali counterparts to strengthen cooperation in areas of trade, energy, tourism, and connectivity, among others.

Second Secretary Ms. Yojana Bamjan made a presentation highlighting key areas of bilateral cooperation. Queries and concerns of the participants were addressed in an interactive session following the presentation.

The programme also featured remarks by Police Commissioner of Khulna Mr. Md. Zulfikar Ali Haider, Additional Divisional Commissioner Mr. Debprosad Paul, Administrator of Khulna Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Nurul Hai Mohammad Anas, and representatives of travel and tour entrepreneurs based in Khulna.

Participants of the event included representatives of various Chambers of Commerce and Industries, prominent business leaders, travel and tour entrepreneurs, and media persons.
