The National Citizens Party (NCP) is preparing to participate in the upcoming local government elections alone, said Sarjis Alam, the party’s chief organizer (northern region) and chairman of the local government election steering committee.
He made this information at a press conference organized at the party’s central office in Bangla Motor in the capital on Tuesday (February 24, 2026) evening.
Sarjis Alam said, “So far, the NCP is preparing for the local elections independently. However, a final decision will be taken at the last moment of the elections on whether to form a political alliance or not.”
