Jamaat has controlled the party, it can also control the country. Those who cannot control the party will not be able to control the overall situation to maintain peace and order in the country, said Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.
He said these things as the chief guest at the Rukon conference of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka Metropolitan South held at the China Friendship Conference Center on Friday (July 25, 2025).
He said that in the past 54 years, Jamaat-e-Islami has not done injustice or oppressed a single citizen of Bangladesh. No leader or activist of Jamaat-e-Islami has extorted or committed terrorism, and will not do so.
He also said that Jamaat-e-Islami wants to walk the path with all those who love Islam and patriots. Jamaat’s politics will only be for the welfare of people and humanity.

The conference, chaired by Nurul Islam Bulbul, was addressed as special guests by the party’s Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Central Executive Council Member and Publicity and Media Division Secretary Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand. The conference Darsul Quran was presented by Maulana ATM Masum, Assistant Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
In his speech as the president, Md. Nurul Islam Bulbul said that Jamaat-e-Islami is preparing to run the state in the future. Jamaat-e-Islami is conducting comprehensive activities for the welfare of the people. Jamaat-e-Islami’s progress has not stopped due to any conspiracy and will not stop. He called on the countrymen to come forward under the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami to build a non-discriminatory, happy, prosperous, modern welfare and humane state.
