As per the promise of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, family cards and farmer cards will be distributed soon with the aim of correctly identifying the real beneficiary families and farmers and directly delivering subsidies, incentives and daily necessities. No irregularities, corruption or nepotism will be tolerated in the distribution of these family cards and farmer cards.
On Saturday (February 28, 2026), Fakir Mahbub Anam, Minister of Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology and Science and Technology, said this while speaking as the chief guest at a view-exchange meeting with heads of various government departments at the upazila level at the Madhupur Upazila Parishad meeting room in Tangail district.
The minister said that the cooperation of the administration is very important in running a people-friendly government for the welfare of the people. He requested the government officials to listen to the people patiently and take necessary measures. He called for working together to fulfill the expectations of the people in coordination with the administration and sought everyone’s cooperation in implementing the Prime Minister’s plan.
Stressing on strengthening anti-drug activities, the minister said, “We do not want to see scoundrels in Madhupur. We must ensure that the people can live safely.” He urged the administration to play a stronger role in protecting the young generation from drugs and internet-based crimes, especially online gambling.
Before the meeting, the minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of RCC road from Sathir Mor on Tangail-Mymensingh Road to Tutul Traders at Sathir Mor in Madhupur town.
Madhupur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Zubayer Hossain presided over the meeting, and upazila-level government officials were present.
Then, the minister exchanged views with upazila-level officials at the Upazila Parishad auditorium, chaired by Dhanbari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nurjahan Akhter Sathir.
