Bangladesh Edition of International Textile Series of Exhibitions: ’23rd Textec Bangladesh 2024 International Expo’, ’22nd Dhaka International Yarn and Fabric Show 2024 – Summer Edition’ and ’45th Dy-Com Bangladesh 2024 International Expo’ was informed.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Nasreen Jahan was present as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the exhibition on Wednesday (November 6, 2024). Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Administrator Md. was present as a special guest. Anwar Hossain, director general of textile department. Mehrun N. Islam highlighted the various aspects of the exhibition and said that these three exhibitions are the largest and first international exhibitions of Bangladesh’s garment and textile industry, which is being held for the 23rd time this year in the last 22 years. Exhibitions are the largest business-to-business (B2B) meeting place held in Bangladesh for buyers and suppliers, where buyers and suppliers get an opportunity to work through direct contact to expand business. As the exhibitions are the largest gathering of foreign and domestic suppliers, buyers and sellers, Bangladeshi businessmen do not have to go abroad to search for buyers or face visa complications.
Rather, he said, the buyers and suppliers related to the garment and textile industry are getting an opportunity to unite under one roof to save money, labor and time.
He also said that these exhibitions of CEMS-Global will help in upholding the long tradition of Bangladesh in the garment and textile industry, earning foreign exchange, economic prosperity and establishing Bangladesh as a business hub. Besides, foreign buyers and sellers visiting these three exhibitions have also added a different dimension to the Bangladesh travel tourism sector.
These exhibitions are part of the Textile Series of Exhibitions organized by CEMS-Global USA which are held every year in Bangladesh, Brazil, Morocco, Thailand and Sri Lanka. The Textile Series of Exhibitions is already playing a major role in the advancement of the garment and textile industry in South Asia. More than 1,475 companies from 37 countries participated in the exhibitions with more than 2,245 booths.
