Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Eid greetings to Principal Advisor

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (March 31, 2025) sent a greetings message to Principal Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. In the message, he extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of Bangladesh.

In his message, Prime Minister Modi said, “As the holy month of Ramadan draws to a close, I take this opportunity to extend my greetings and best wishes to you and the people of Bangladesh on the joyous festival of Eid-ul-Fitr.”

He also noted that “Like the Muslim community around the world, more than 200 million Muslims in India have observed religious rituals through fasting and prayers during the month of Ramadan.”

The Indian Prime Minister sees Eid-ul-Fitr not only as a festival of joy, but also as a symbol of human values, compassion and solidarity. He said, “This holy festival provides us with an opportunity to further strengthen the bonds of generosity, solidarity and friendship. We hope that the friendship and cooperation between our two countries will grow stronger.”

At the end of the message, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished for peace, harmony, good health and happiness worldwide and conveyed his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to Principal Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus.
