Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet, the French Ambassador to Bangladesh, delivered a lecture titled “Contemporary France: Its Foreign Policy, Security and Development Strategy, and Bangladesh-France Relations” to the course members of the National Defence Course-2026 at the National Defence College (NDC).
During the lecture held at the National Defence College on Tuesday (September 29, 2026), the Ambassador outlined France’s foreign policy priorities, security and development strategies, and various aspects of the bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and France.

He discussed issues of mutual interest and the potential for further strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two nations in the future.
An interactive session and a Q&A segment followed the lecture, during which course members exchanged views with the French Ambassador on contemporary global and regional security situations.

Additionally, the French Ambassador paid a courtesy call on the Senior Directing Staff (Army-2) of the National Defence College. They exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and the broad spectrum of Bangladesh-France bilateral relations.
The lecture and interactive session provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on contemporary international and regional security issues alongside the bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and France.
