Desk Report:
Car trading activities in the capital continued unabated despite persistent rain. The ‘Super Sale Car Bazaar’ at the Expo Village of International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) has been bustling with the enthusiastic participation of buyers and sellers. A large crowd gathered for the sixth edition of this weekly event, held every Friday. Due to heightened interest from buyers, the duration of the event has also been extended.
Organized jointly by Wizard Showbiz and ICCB, this market offers a platform where buyers and sellers can trade new, reconditioned, and used cars in a single location. Building on the success of the previous five weeks, the sixth week also saw a lively atmosphere filled with car enthusiasts.
Despite rain throughout the day yesterday, the Expo Village at ICCB remained abuzz with activity. Some visitors were inspecting their preferred vehicles, while others were negotiating prices with sellers. Some were busy inquiring about bank loan facilities for their purchases. Defying adverse weather conditions, sellers brought their vehicles from various parts of the country, and there was a significant turnout of buyers and visitors.
The Super Sale Car Bazaar facilitates the trading of motorcycles alongside cars. Buyers can select their preferred vehicles, while sellers can sell their used cars or motorcycles directly, without the need for intermediaries or brokers.
According to the organizers, the Super Sale Car Bazaar significantly reduces the time and effort buyers typically spend visiting multiple showrooms to view cars. Here, they have the opportunity to view new, used, and reconditioned vehicles from various companies under one roof. Consequently, buyers get the experience of visiting nearly 50 showrooms all in one place.
The organizers further noted that the air-conditioned environment of the Expo Village ensures that viewing and trading vehicles remain uninterrupted by rain or sun. One of the key objectives of this event is to create an opportunity for transactions free from middlemen, while ensuring a comfortable environment for both buyers and sellers.
Mehedi Hasan Molla, Brand and Marketing Manager at ICCB, told Bangladesh Pratidin, “We are currently hosting the sixth edition of our ‘Super Sale Car Bazar,’ which has been running for nearly a month and a half. Despite heavy, continuous rainfall throughout the day, the adverse weather outside had no negative impact on the car market, thanks to the excellent, sheltered environment provided at the ICCB Expo Village. Even with the inclement weather, a large number of buyers, visitors, and sellers have participated enthusiastically.”
He further mentioned that the event hours have been extended by one hour due to the increased turnout of buyers and visitors in the evening. Currently, the Super Sale Car Bazar officially operates every Friday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
