Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman addressed a meeting with the officers and employees of the Prime Minister’s Office and its subordinate departments and agencies at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon, Dhaka today.

The Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar delivered a welcome speech at the meeting. Later, Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office Mohammad Abdul Wadud Chowdhury gave a presentation on the structure and functions of the office.

Addressing the officers and employees, the Prime Minister said that the people of Bangladesh are looking to the government with great expectations. Stating that the officers and employees are also an integral part of the government, she said, “The government will do well only when you sincerely cooperate with the government.”

The Prime Minister also said, “We consider this country as our first and last destination. Therefore, we also have to work for changing the fate of the people of the country.”
Stressing the importance of ensuring the security of the people of the country, she said that it must be ensured that the people feel safe. He expressed hope that if everyone works together, it will be possible to achieve the set goals. At the same time, he sought the full cooperation of the officials and employees in eliminating corruption from the country.
At this time, the Prime Minister instructed to be vigilant about protecting confidentiality in the interests of the country and the state. He also emphasized on the strict adherence of government rules and regulations by the employees of the republic to take the nation to a disciplined position.
Advisor to the Prime Minister Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, Md. Ismail Zabiullah, Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, Humayun Kabir, Brigadier General (Retd.) Shamsul Islam, Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman and Mahdi Amin were present at the exchange of views.
In addition, heads of various departments and organizations under the Prime Minister’s Office and officials and employees were present at the meeting.
