Fake news about family card must be prevented: Minister of Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs

Desk Report:

Minister of Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Dr. Abu Zafar Md. Zahid Hossain said that many are trying to mislead people with fake news about family cards. We need to work on how to prevent and reduce it.

He said these things after a view-exchange meeting with government officials of four upazilas – Nawabganj, Birampur, Ghoraghat and Hakimpur – at the Nawabganj Upazila Parishad meeting room in Dinajpur on Friday (February 28, 2026).

The minister said that people must be assured and should not be allowed to be confused. Because this is a priority project of our Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

He also said that the Prime Minister will inaugurate the family card on March 10. Activities are underway to ensure that the matter is implemented properly. He urged everyone to be aware so that no kind of corruption touches anyone.
