Interim government’s Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Advisor Muhammad Fauzul Kabir Khan said, “We are not able to use limited resources properly due to corruption and waste.”
The advisor said this today (August 16, 2025) while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the Chittagong-Dhaka fuel oil supply pipeline project.

Earlier, he inaugurated the Chittagong-Dhaka fuel oil pipeline project by pressing the switch at the Despass Terminal in Patenga, Chittagong.
Advisor Fauzul Kabir Khan said, “This (pipeline) project was also supposed to be completed in 2018 and completed in 2020. Corona, Russia-Ukraine war have been mentioned. If the project implementation is delayed, the cost will definitely increase. The price of equipment increases worldwide.”
He said, “I am very happy that fuel oil will be transported from Chittagong to Dhaka through the pipeline.” This project of the state is related to technological progress. Technological progress is the basis of the modern world. We must remember that we do not have much wealth. We had some natural gas, but it is now running out.
We do not have any significant natural resources except human resources. In that case, we have to move forward with technological progress. Our resources are already low, and we cannot use what we have properly for two reasons.
One is corruption, the other is waste. If we can reduce corruption and waste, and make technological progress, then growth achievement will be possible for a large population.
